Mozart’s Requiem has long fascinated audiences by reason of the mysterious circumstances of its commission in the last months of the composer’s life. Its musical riches, so dramatic and expressive of the words of the Latin Requiem mass for the dead, have captured the minds and hearts of listeners for more than 200 years.
