Admission is free and open to the public. For more information, or a complete spring concert calendar, call the ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ Concertline at 315-228-7642.
The role of Elijah will be sung by John-Scott Moir; other soloists will include Lauralyn Kolb, Leonarda Priore, Joshua Marr, and Elliot Nott. After Mendelssohn conducted the first performance of Elijah at the Birmingham (England) Choral Festival in 1846, the London Times reported that ‘never was there a more complete triumph ‘ never a more thorough and speedy recognition of a great work of art. Elijah is not only the chef-d’oeuvre of Mendelssohn, but altogether one of the most extraordinary achievements of human intelligence.’
