“Professor Cushing is undoubtedly one of the people who made my experience at Ƶ so special. Having opened up her office, her home, and her heart, Professor Cushing nurtured me throughout my time at Ƶ—providing me with my first taste of a religious studies course as a freshman, and later as my senior thesis advisor. With this medal, I would like to thank Professor Cushing for challenging me, acting as my sounding board for matters big and small, and instilling in me a passion that continues to shape who I am today.”
